Our mission is to make sure you pay only what you legally owe and not a cent more.  In the beginning, Ms. Robinson started preparing returns for family and friends. As demand for her services grew, The Model Accountant expanded to serve individuals and small business owners nationally.

CEO & Founder

Patricia A. Robinson is the CEO & Founder of The Model Accountant, LLC, a full-service accounting firm that specializes in accounting, tax planning and tax preparation services. Ms. Robinson holds the IRS’s highest designation as an Enrolled Agent (EA). EAs specializes exclusively in taxation. As an active member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) and the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents (FSEA), she remains current on tax topics and supports the profession through advocacy activities such as advocating for taxpayers on Capitol Hill.

Ms. Robinson started The Model Accountant, LLC with 30+ years of combined experience in accounting, technology & taxation. Prior to being an entrepreneur, she worked as an auditor for the fifth largest school district in the nation, Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) where she performed audits for the school district’s business departments. As a former ERP Director in Information Technology Services, she worked with the ERP Payroll Team to implement the current ERP SAP HR Payroll System, analyzed the $100M bi-weekly payroll for 40,000+ employees and managed the W-2 Tax Reporting Process. She worked as a Credentialed Tax Expert for Intuit Turbo Tax Live to help launch the business tax division where she served business owners across the nation with gross profits exceeding $1M. In her years of experience in accounting, technology, and taxation, she has been instilled with the values of education, empowerment, excellence, and trust. These are the principles by which The Model Accountant LLC was founded.

Ms. Robinson migrated from Jamaica to the United States at the age of 3 and was raised in Miami-Dade County. Her passion for accounting and taxation began as a student at Miami Dade College (MDC) while working on a class project at a local Jackson & Hewitt Tax Services. She would subsequently earn an associate in arts degree from MDC and complete her studies at Florida International University where she earned a Bachelor of Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation degrees.

When she is not serving clients or wearing her entrepreneur hat, she may be providing free tax preparation service to persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English-speaking persons. She is a lover of all-things art, music, sports and travel. Most important to her are her faith and family, as she enjoys being a mother to her son and aunt to her nieces and nephews.
